About the Durango
The Durango, launched for 1998, was a body-on-frame SUV based on the Dakota and Ram for its first two generations, built in Newark, Delaware. From 2007 to 2009 it was also sold as the Chrysler Aspen, and a hybrid was added for 2009. The 2011 Durango moved to a unibody shared with the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
