Resonator: Service and Repair
Removal
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the air inlet hose See: Air Cleaner Housing/Service and Repair/Air Cleaner Body - Removal.
3. Disconnect the engine wire harness connector from the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor located at the rear of the resonator (1) See: Computers
and Control Systems/Intake Air Temperature Sensor/Service and Repair/Removal
4. Pull the resonator forward to disconnect it from the throttle body (3) and from the two retaining studs (2) located on the top of the engine.
5. Tilt and rotate the resonator as necessary to remove it from the engine compartment.
6. If required, remove the IAT sensor from the resonator See: Computers and Control Systems/Intake Air Temperature Sensor/Service and
