17. Remove the upper radiator hose from the thermostat housing (4).
18. Remove the thermostat housing (4) and thermostat from the water pump (2).See: Thermostat/Service and Repair/Engine Coolant Thermostat -

Removal 

19. Remove the water pump upper mounting bolts (7 total, 6 bolts and 1 stud).
20. Remove the water pump assembly (2).

Water Pump - Installation

5.7L HEV ENGINE

WARNING: On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, you must thoroughly read and follow all High Voltage Safety procedures. In

addition, before performing any diagnostic or service procedure near a high voltage component, you must perform the High
Voltage Power Down. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury See: Hybrid Drive
Systems/Battery System, Hybrid Drive/Service Precautions 

1. Clean gasket services.
2. Install the water pump (2) and the upper mounting bolts and stud (7 total, 6 bolts and 1 stud). Tighten the mounting bolts and stud to 28 Nm (21ft.

lbs.).

3. Install the heater hoses to the water pump fittings (3).
4. Inspect the thermostat/seal assembly for damage, replace if necessary. 
5. Install the thermostat and thermostat housing (4) to the water pump (2). Tighten the mounting bolts to 28 Nm (21ft. lbs.).
6. Install the upper radiator hose to the thermostat housing (4).
7. Connect the electrical connector to the ECT sensor (1).

8. Connect the A/C compressor high voltage cables.  See: Hybrid Drive Systems/Battery System, Hybrid Drive/Hybrid Battery Bus / Cable/Service

9. Install the throttle body assembly.See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Throttle Body/Service and Repair/Throttle Body -

Installation 

10. Install the EGR tube at the throttle body.
11. Connect the upper radiator hose.
12. Install the upper radiator support bracket (3). Tighten the bolts (2) to 10 N-m (89 in. lbs).
