Traction Power Inverter Module - Removal
REMOVAL
WARNING: On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, you must thoroughly read and follow all High Voltage Safety procedures. In
addition, before performing any diagnostic or service procedure near a high voltage component, you must perform the High
Voltage Power Down. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury See: Battery System, Hybrid
Drive/Service Precautions
NOTE: Do not remove the retainers from the Traction Power Inverter Module (TPIM) cover.
1. Remove the air cleaner housing (4).See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Tune-up and Engine Performance Checks/Air Cleaner
Housing/Service and Repair/Air Cleaner Body - Removal.
2. Disconnect the HVIL connector (1)(3) and remove the retainers holding the TPIM cover to the TPIM. Remove the TPIM cover (2).
NOTE: Do not remove the retainers from the TPIM cover.
3. Remove the retainers (1) holding the high voltage cables (2) to the TPIM (3), then remove the high voltage cables (2) from the TPIM (3).
