4. Carefully remove the fuel line (1) from the fuel line clip (2).
Use caution when installing Pressure Test Adaptor Kit 10172 to the access ports. The threads can be damaged and can cause a leakage in transmission
oil.
5. Install the Pressure Test Adaptor 10172 (3) to the main transmission pump. Tighten the banjo bolt (1) to 11 Nm ( 8 ft. lbs).
6. Install the Pressure Gauge C-3293SP onto the Pressure Test Adaptor Kit 10172 (3).
CAUTION: If there is no initial line pressure showing on the gauge at start-up, immediately turn the vehicle off.
7. Start the vehicle and verify that the line pressure is at a minimum of 300 kpa (43.5 psi).
MAIN TRANSMISSION OIL PUMP PRESSURE TEST PROCEDURE
The main transmission oil pump is a variable displacement pump. Pressures can change frequently. Start the engine and bring the transmission
temperature up to a minimum of 21°C (70°F). Install the scan tool and verify the temperature. When the correct temperature is reached, check the line
pressure reading on the Pressure Gauge C-3293SP. The line pressure should be at a minimum of 300 kpa (43.5 psi). The maximum line pressure should
not be greater than 2100 kpa (304 psi). read the estimated transmission line pressure from the Transmission Control Module (TCM). Compare the
reading from the gauge, to the estimated line pressure and the table below.
