Once the hinge pin is flush, open the lid, then insert the steel rod (supplied in the kit) into the hinge and continue tapping (Figure 4.) until the hinge
pin is flush with the console portion of the hinge and the lid pops to one side (Figure 5).

WARNING:

THE LONG LEG OF THE CENTER CONSOLE/ARMREST LID SPRING WILL POP OUT OF THE LID WHILE THE HINGE PIN IS BEING
REMOVED. TAKE CARE TO KEEP CLEAR OF THE SPRING LEG WHEN REMOVING THE HINGE PIN FROM THE LID.

With the lid to the side, continue driving the hinge pin from the center console/armrest assembly until the hinge pin is free from the assembly
(Figure 6).

NOTE:

THE SUPPLIED STEEL ROD IS DESIGNED TO PROPERLY RETAIN THE HINGE LID SPRING DURING ASSEMBLY. DO NOT REMOVE
THE STEEL ROD UNTIL THE NEW LID IS IN PLACE.
