Repair Procedure

The following repair procedure consists of many possible corrective actions. The vehicle must be driven to properly diagnose the exact cause of the
complaint so that the appropriate repair action may be used.

B-Pillar Area

Diagnosis A - Missing or Migrated Foam Tap

1.

Inspect the front door upper glass run at the B-pillar for missing or improperly installed foam tape.

2.

Remove old foam tape and clean off any dirt or adhesive residue using isopropyl alcohol.

3.

Install new foam tape (PN 4512908) using proper adhesive (Loctite 447 - PN 4443348).

Index tape to corner (see Figure 1).

Diagnosis B - Glass Guide/Glass Conditions

1.

Inspect the upper 2" of the rear glass guide for proper sealing along the inside surface. Inspect the glass guide for sharp edges and/or a step-off
between glass and glass guide.
