NOTE:

IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO REPLACE THE REAR CRANKSHAFT
SEAL WHEN PERFORMING THE REPAIR PROCEDURE UNLESS THERE IS EVIDENCE THAT THE SEAL IS ALSO LEAKING.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

This repair involves installing four cup plugs in the crankshaft flange.

1.

Thoroughly clean and dry the four untapped holes in the crankshaft flange.

2.

Lightly coat the outside diameter of one of the cup plugs PN T3075032 with Stud N 'Bearing Mount PN 04318032.

3.

Using a 5/16 inch diameter blunt nose punch, drive the cup plug into one of the holes until the end of the plug is slightly below the surface of the 
crankshaft flange.

4.

Repeat the process on the three remaining holes.

5.

Install the torque converter drive plate using the new bolts, PN 06501193. Tighten the bolts to 70 ft.lbs. (95 N-m) torque.

6.

Install the transaxle.
