Flash: Amplifier For Noise When Playing An IPOD Thru The UCI Port
OVERVIEW:
This Bulletin involves flashing the Amplifier with new software.

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Customers may experience music sounding severely distorted when playing an IPOD thru the UCI (Universal Consumer Interface) with 9 amplified
speakers w/subwoofer (RC3), it also has to have ether (RSP or RSQ) Uconnect Hands-Free communication. All other features of the audio system work
and sound normal.
DIAGNOSIS:
Using a Scan Tool (StarScan) with the appropriate Diagnostic Procedures available in TechCONNECT, verify all systems are functioning as designed. If
DTC's are present record them on the repair order and repair as necessary before proceeding further with this bulletin.
If the operator describes or experiences the Symptom/Condition, perform the Repair Procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE - USING THE INTERNET TO RETRIEVE THE FLASH FILE:
NOTE:
The StarMOBILE(TM) in standalone mode can be used for the flash.
NOTE:
Before performing this Repair Procedure, the operating software in the StarSCAN(R); must be programmed with software release level 9.05 or
higher.
