2. Position the seat back hinge (3) to the seat and install the retaining bolts (1 and 2). Tighten the bolts to 48 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).
3. Adjust synchronizing cable, if equippedSee: Child Seat/Service and Repair/Procedures.

Front

REMOVAL

WARNING: Disable the airbag system before attempting any component diagnosis or service of the front seats, when equipped with front seat
air bags. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery (ground) cable, then wait two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to discharge before
performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the airbag system. Failure to take the proper precautions may
result in accidental airbag deployment and possible serious or fatal injury.

NOTE: Left seat shown in illustrations. Right seat similar.

1. Remove the seat from the vehicle and place it on a workbenchSee: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Seat - Removal.
2. Remove the seat back from the seatSee: Seat Back - Removal.
3. Remove the armrestSee: Interior Moulding / Trim/Arm Rest/Service and Repair/Armrest - Removal.
4. Remove the headrestSee: Head Rest/Service and Repair/Headrest - Removal.
5. Remove the headrest sleevesSee: Head Rest/Service and Repair/Headrest Sleeve - Removal.
6. Disengage the five J-hook retainers (1) that secure the top and sides of the seat back cover (2) to the seat back frame (5).
7. Disengage the seat back cover from the two metal tabs (4) located near the bottom of the seat back frame.
8. Remove the seat back cover and the seat back cushion (3) from the seat back frame as an assembly.
