EGR Tube - Installation

CAUTION: DO NOT use air tools to install bolts to intake manifold. Install bolts using hand tools only. Torque all fasteners to specification.
The use of air tools can cause the threads of the intake manifold to become stripped.

NOTE: Inspect rubber silicone seal for wear or cracks, replace as necessary. Make sure that the silicone rubber seal is undamaged during
installation.

1. Install new silicone rubber seal to intake manifold end of tube (5), if necessary.
2. Install the exhaust gas recirculate (EGR) tube (5) and flange mounting bolts (3) to intake manifold. Tighten to 5.5 Nm (48.5 in. lbs.).

CAUTION: DO NOT use air tools to install bolts. Use hands tools only. The fasteners and threads of the components can be damaged if
installed with Air tools.

3. Install new gasket (5) between EGR valve (2) and EGR tube (4).
4. Install EGR tube (4) and bolts (3) to EGR valve (2). Tighten to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.).
