Connecting Rod: Service and Repair
OIL CLEARANCE
1. Following procedures specified in Using Plastigage.
2. Tighten nuts to 52 Nm (38 ft. lbs.).
3. Remove connecting rod cap and measure Plastigage.
CAUTION: Do not rotate crankshaft or the Plastigage may be smeared.
SIDE CLEARANCE
Using a feeler gauge, check connecting rod side clearance.
