Flash: MIL Illumination, Erroneous Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's)
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with new software.
MODELS:
2002 (LH) 300M/Concorde/Intrepid
NOTE:
THE BULLETIN APPLIES TO VEHICLES BUILT PRIOR TO APRIL 18, 2002 (MDH 0419XX).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
MIL illumination with any or all of the DTC's shown.
DIAGNOSIS:
Verify the condition of the wiring. Check for moisture or condensation in the Oxygen (02) Sensor connectors, chafed or pierced sensor leads, electrical
connections, and repair as necessary before proceeding. If DTC's are present, other than those listed above, record the DTC's on the repair order and
repair as necessary before proceeding further with this bulletin. If the conditions listed are present, perform the Repair Procedure.
