DIAGNOSIS
Attach Miller Special Tool Fuel Pressure Gauge C-3292 and Adapter Hoses C-4799 to vehicle and road test. If vehicle sags when making a hard left turn
and at the same time fuel pressure drops, proceed to repair procedure.
1984 EFI VEHICLES ONLY
On EFI vehicles, this condition is likely due to a misaligned in-tank filter. Check for proper alignment as follows:
1.
Lower fuel tank by loosening straps (tank need not be removed.)
2.
Spin off the lock ring on the fuel tank pump unit and remove the fuel pump assembly from the tank, being careful not to damage the filter.
