Repair Procedure

The solution to the above mentioned condition consists of installation of an in-tank electric fuel pump to eliminate vapor lock and the installation of a
fuel pressure regulator to reduce fuel foaming.

Engine Compartment Wiring Harness PN 4331935, & Jumper (dash) Wiring Assembly PN 4362558, & Diode Wiring Jumper PN 4331924

Disconnect the battery.

Remove grommet from engine compartment side of firewall (Figure 2-B). Grommet #2 will be removed if vehicle has automatic
transmission; grommet #1 will be removed if vehicle has manual transmission. Remove rectangular covering on instrument side of dash
panel opposite the corresponding grommet removed. Install wiring assembly, PN 4362558, from the instrument panel side to the engine
compartment and seat grommet in dash panel.

Install the bare eyelet terminal of the engine compartment overlay harness, PN 4331935, to the negative terminal of the ignition coil as
shown in Figure 1-A. MAKE SURE THAT THE WIRE END OF THE TERMINAL IS POINTING

CAUTION:

AWAY FROM THE COIL SECONDARY TOWER WHEN NUT IS TIGHTENED TO AVOID ARCING.
