Door Lock Switch Test

Door Lock Switch Connectors

NOTE:  Perform POWER DOOR LOCK MOTOR TEST before starting this test.

1.

Remove the right door lock switch from the door trim panel.  

2.

Connect jumper wires to the right door lock switch connector as shown.  The jumper wires take the place of a good switch in the inactive position.

3.

Lock and unlock the doors using the drivers side power door lock switch.  If the lock motors now operate properly, replace the passenger side lock
switch.  If the lock motors still do not operate, go to step 4.

4.

Remove the drivers side door lock switch from the door trim panel.

5.

Connect jumper wires to the door lock switch electrical connector.  Connect one across the Orange and Red terminals and another across the Pink
and Black terminals, this will lock the doors.  Connect one jumper wire across the Pink and Red terminals and another across the Orange and
Black terminals, this will unlock the doors.  If the door lock system operates with the jumper wires connected, the power door lock switch is
defective and needs to be replaced.  If the door lock system doesn't work with the jumper wires connected, check the wiring harness from the
switch to the door lock motor for an open circuit.
