Drive Belt Tensioner: Service and Repair
Accessory Drive Belt Tensioner - Installation
3.7L/4.7L ENGINE
NOTE: When installing accessory drive belt onto pulleys, make sure that belt is properly routed and all V-grooves make proper contact with
pulleys.
1. Install pulley and pulley bolt to tensioner (3). Tighten bolt to 61 Nm (45 ft. lbs.) torque.
2. An indexing slot is located on back of tensioner (3). Align this slot to the head of the bolt on the front cover. Install the mounting bolt. Tighten bolt
(2) to 41 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
3. Install accessory drive belt See: Drive Belt/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Accessory Drive Belt - Installation .
4. Check tensioner indexing marks.
