6. Remove the nut and disconnect the terminal wire (1).
1. Measure the resistance between the two large studs on relay #3.
2. The resistance should be greater than 1 megaohm.
3. Apply 12 volts to the small terminal (1) and apply ground to the small terminal (2).
4. Measure the resistance between the two large studs on relay #3.
5. The resistance should be less than 1 ohm.
6. Remove the nut and disconnect the terminal wire (1).
1. Measure the resistance between the two large studs on relay #4.
2. The resistance should be greater than 1 megaohm.
3. Apply 12 volts to the small terminal (1) and apply ground to the small terminal (2).
4. Measure the resistance between the two large studs on relay #4.
5. The resistance should be less than 1 ohm.
6. If the resistance across any of the relays doesn't go from open to closed (megaohm to tenths) then the relay is bad and needs to be
replaced.
