Power Steering Fluid: Capacity Specifications
The power steering pump is equipped with a dipstick to indicate fluid level. If necessary, add fluid to restore the proper indicated level. Fluid level
should be at the "HOT" line if the vehicle has just been operated, or at "FULL COLD" if the vehicle has not been operated within the last 6 hours.
With a clean cloth, wipe any spilled fluid from all surfaces. Clean all dirt from outside of reservoir before removing cover. Use only petroleum fluids
specially formulated for minimum effect on rubber hoses. Mopar ATF+4, Type 9602 should be used in the power steering system to assure optimum
performance.
WARNING:
Fluid level should be checked with the engine off to prevent injury from moving parts.
CAUTION:
Do not overfill. Do not use gear oil or generic power steering fluid in the pump reservoir, damage to your vehicle will result.
The fluid level should be checked whenever the vehicle is serviced.
