Steering Gear Replacement
REMOVAL
1. Position the front wheels straight-ahead.
2. Remove and cap fluid hoses from steering gear.
3. Remove the coupler retaining bolts and disconnect coupler from steering gear.
4. Mark the pitman shaft and pitman arm for installation reference. Remove the pitman arm from the shaft with Puller C-4150A, or equivalent.
5. Remove the steering gear bracket retaining bolts and nuts. Remove the steering gear and bracket from the vehicle.
