Defroster Duct Extension Replacement
DEFROSTER DUCT EXTENSIONS
WARNING: ON VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH AIRBAGS, REFER TO AIR BAGS AND SEAT BELTS/AIR BAGS BEFORE
ATTEMPTING ANY STEERING WHEEL, STEERING COLUMN, OR INSTRUMENT PANEL COMPONENT DIAGNOSIS OR
SERVICE. FAILURE TO TAKE THE PROPER PRECAUTIONS COULD RESULT IN ACCIDENTAL AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT
AND POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY.
REMOVAL
1. Remove the instrument panel from the passenger compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Assembly Removal and Installation.

Defroster Duct Extensions
2. From the top of the instrument panel, remove the screws that secure the defroster duct extension to the instrument panel.
3. Remove the defroster duct extension from below the top of the instrument panel.
INSTALLATION
1. Reverse the removal procedures to install. Tighten the mounting screws to 2.2 Nm (20 in. lbs.).
