Ignition Off-Draw (IOD) Fuse: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
The Ignition-Off Draw (IOD) fuse is removed from relay and fuse block fuse cavity # 1 when the vehicle is shipped from the assembly plant. Dealer
personnel must install the IOD fuse when the vehicle is being prepared for delivery in order to restore full electrical system operation.
1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
2. Remove the left instrument panel end cap. Refer to Instrument Panel End Cap for the location of the proper end cap removal procedures.
3. Remove the IOD fuse from fuse cavity # 1 of the relay and fuse block.
4. Store the removed IOD fuse by inserting the terminal blades of the fuse into the empty fuse storage cavity on the instrument panel side of the left
instrument panel end cap.
5. Install the left instrument panel end cap. Refer to Instrument Panel End Cap for the location of the proper end cap installation procedures.
INSTALLATION
The Ignition-Off Draw (IOD) fuse is removed from relay and fuse block fuse cavity # 1 when the vehicle is shipped from the assembly plant. Dealer
personnel must install the IOD fuse when the vehicle is being prepared for delivery in order to restore full electrical system operation.
1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
2. Remove the left instrument panel end cap.
Refer to Instrument Panel End Cap for the location of the proper end cap removal procedures.
3. Remove the stored IOD fuse from the fuse storage cavity on the instrument panel side of the left instrument panel end cap.
4. Align the terminal blades of the IOD fuse with the terminal receptacles in fuse cavity # 1 of the relay and fuse block.
5. Use a thumb to press the IOD fuse firmly down into relay and fuse block cavity 1.
6. Install the left instrument panel end cap. Refer to Instrument Panel End Cap for the location of the proper end cap installation procedures.
