Valve Deactivation Solenoid: Service and Repair
Removal
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the intake manifold See: Intake Manifold/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Intake Manifold - Removal .
3. Remove foam insulator pad (1) if necessary.
4. Remove wiring harness connectors from the MDS solenoid(s) (3) that require removal.
5. Remove hold down bolt (2) from MDS solenoid(s) (3).
6. Remove MDS solenoid(s) (3).
