Wheel Speed Sensor: Service and Repair
Tone Wheel
Rear Wheel Antilock Brake System
The exciter ring is mounted on the differential case. If the ring is damaged refer to Transmission and Drivetrain, Differential for service procedures.
Front
The tone wheel for the front speed sensor is located on the backside of the hub/bearing on 4x2 model. On 4x4 models, the tone wheel is located inside
the hub/bearing housing.
The tone wheel is not a serviceable component. To replaced if the tone wheel if damaged the hub/bearing must be replaced.
Rear
The exciter ring is mounted on the differential case. If the ring is damaged refer to Transmission and Drivetrain, Differential for service procedures.
