REMOVAL
1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Disconnect the temperature control cable from the blend-air door crank arm pin and the retaining clip on the heater-A/C housing in the engine
compartment, and remove the auto-adjust clip.
3. Remove the heater-A/C control unit from the instrument panel.
4. Depress the cable flag tab and remove the cable from the control.
5. Pulling on the cable housing from the passenger compartment side of the dash panel, remove the cable and grommet from the dash panel as a unit.
INSTALLATION
1. Insert the cable through the dash panel hole from the passenger compartment side.
2. Route the flag end of the cable through the heater-A/C control opening in the instrument panel.
3. Attach the cable core wire loop to the temperature control lever, and snap the flag into the heater A/C control receiver.
4. Install the push-nut retainer over the cable end on the temperature control lever, and install the heater-A/C control in the instrument panel.
5. Pull on the cable housing from the engine compartment side, until the cable grommet is seated in the dash panel hole.

6. Route the cable to the heater-A/C housing in the engine compartment as shown, and attach the self-adjust clip to the cable core wire 51 mm (2
inches) from the end loop.
