Inspect the cowl panel in the area shown in Figure 2 for an open 6.6 mm (0.26 in.) hole.
5.
Repeat the same procedure for the left side cowl panel.
6.
If there is an open hole in the side cowl panel on either side, perform the following Repair Procedure.

Patch, Butyl
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This bulletin involves installing a butyl patch over the hole in the cowl panel.
1.
Clean the area around the hole as shown in Figure 2 on both right and left side cowl panels with a mild detergent and dry the area thoroughly.
2.
Remove the protective backing from the butyl patch and install the patch over the holes on both the right and left sides.
3.
Position the right cowl trim cover onto the lower cowl and press the cover into place.
4.
Install the right front door sill trim cover onto the sill.
5.
Position the left cowl trim cover onto the lower cowl and press the cover into place.
6.
Install the left front door sill trim cover onto the sill.
