Brake Pedal Assy: Description and Operation
PEDAL
DESCRIPTION
The brake booster is operated by a suspended type brake pedal. The pedal pivots on a shaft located in a mounting bracket attached to the dash panel.
The pedal shaft is supported by bushings in the pedal and mounting bracket. The brake pedal is attached to the booster push rod.
OPERATION
When the pedal is depressed, the primary booster push rod is depressed which move the booster secondary rod. The booster secondary rod depress the
master cylinder piston.
