Ball Joint: Service and Repair
Front Suspension Lower Ball Joint - Installation
3500 CAB CHASSIS
1. Position Ball Joint Remover/Installer 8975-1 (DRIVER) (2) and Ball Joint Remover/Installer 8975-3 (RECEIVER) (5) with Ball Joint Press
C-4212F (1) as shown to install lower ball stud (3).
2. 4x4 only, install the axle shaft into the axle, refer to Differential and Driveline/Front Axle.
3. Install the steering knuckle See: Front Steering Knuckle/Service and Repair/Installation.
