RAM 3500 Chassis Cab Truck 2WD L6-6.7L DSL Turbo (2010)
1. Lubricate the transmission oil filter seal with MOPAR(R) AS68RC ATF.
2. Install the new transmission oil filter (2) in position on valve body (1) and into the oil pump.
3. Install the transmission oil filter bolts (3).
4. Tighten bolts to 10 Nm ( 88 in.lbs. ) torque.
5. Install a new transmission oil pan gasket.
6. Place pan in position on transmission.
7. Install bolts to hold pan to transmission. Tighten bolts to 7 Nm (62 in. lbs.) torque.
DRAIN PLUG
CAUTION: Two different sizes of drain bolts exist. Original oil pans will have size M18 drain bolts (24mm width across flats) and should be
tightened to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.). Service ordered oil pans will have size M10 drain bolts (19mm width across flats) and should be
tightened to 22 Nm (16 ft. lbs.)
8. Install transmission drain plug bolt (1).
9. For M18 drain bolts (24mm width across flats), tighten oil pan drain plug to 27 Nm ( 20 ft.lbs) torque.
10. For M10 drain bolts (19mm width across flats), tighten oil pan drain plug to 22 Nm (16 ft. lbs.) torque.
11. Lower vehicle and fill transmission with MOPAR(R) AS68RC ATF. See: Fluid - A/T/Service and Repair/Transmission Fill.
