Right Side Fuel Cylinder Mounting
12. Loosen (but do not remove) the 2 lower carrier bolts at the bottom of cylinder carrier straps.
13. Remove the six (6) vertically mounted (upper) bolts securing the carrier assembly to the vehicle frame rail. Weld nut plates are located within the
frame rail to secure the 6 carrier bolts. They are attached to the inside of frame rail with adhesive. If removal of the weld nut plates is necessary.
14. Carefully lower the cylinder.
INSTALLATION
1. If fuel cylinder control valve was removed from cylinder, apply Parker 0-Lube to new 0-ring. Install a new o-ring to valve. Install valve to
cylinder. Tighten control valve to 100 N.m (80 ft. lbs.) torque.
2. Position cylinder into carrier straps. Install lower bolts but do not tighten at this time.
3. Using a hydraulic jack, position cylinder and cylinder carrier to the frame rail.
4. Install the six vertical carrier bolts to the frame rail. Do not tighten bolts at this time.
5. Rotate the fuel cylinder in the carrier straps until the fuel control valve is in the horizontal position.
6. Tighten the six frame rail bolts to 100 N.m (80 ft. lbs.) torque.
7. Tighten the two lower carrier bolts to 20 N.m (15 ft. lbs.) torque.
8. Connect and tighten fuel tube (line) to cylinder. A Go No-Go gauge tool must be used to check fitting after tightening.
9. Tighten fuel tube (line) at manual shut-off valve. A Go No-Go gauge tool must be used to check fitting after tightening.
10. Install shield at front of cylinder.
11. Install shield at rear of cylinder.
12. Check cylinder, fuel control valve and fuel tube fittings for natural gas leaks.
