Steering Wheel Vibration
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves test driving the vehicle for vibration felt at the steering wheel during highway speeds and if necessary performing road force
variation to the tires and/or replacing the steering wheel.

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The customer may experience excessive steering wheel vibration when driving at highway speeds.
DIAGNOSIS:
If the symptom/condition is experienced, proceed to the repair procedure.
PARTS REQUIRED:
NOTE:
Replace the TRM portion of the part number with 1DV for vehicles equipped with Dark Slate Gray steering wheels or 1TV for vehicles with Bark
Brown steering wheels.
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Test drive the vehicle at least 20 minutes or 20 miles at highway speeds. Did the vehicle exhibit any vibration felt at the steering wheel?
a. Yes >>> Proceed to Step # 2.
b. No >>> This bulletin does not apply continue further diagnosis.
2. Inspect the all four tires for irregular wear and/or flat spotting. Was there any irregular wear and/or flat spotting?
a. Yes >>> Replace the suspect tires and road force all four wheels and tires whether the tires were replaced or not.
b. No >>> Road force all four wheels and tires.
