Checking Piston Protrusion
When disassembling the engine, measure the piston protrusion "A" (dimension from the top surface of the cylinder block to the piston crown
with the piston at top dead center) before removing the piston.
If the protrusion exceeds 0.9 mm (.0354"), replace the cylinder block assembly.

How To Remove Cylinder Sleeve
a.
With the cylinder block mounted to a boring machine, center the cylinder sleeve at the lower part of where uneven wear is smallest.
b.
Bore to a sleeve thickness of approximately 0.5 mm.
c.
Insert a tool as shown below between the cylinder sleeve and the cylinder block and tap the tool lightly to break the sleeve, taking care
not to damage the cylinder block wall.

Inspection
After the cylinder sleeve is removed, check the surface of sleeve hole in cylinder block for damage, insufficient tightening allowance, and other
