SYMPTOM/CONDITION
The procedure outlined in the service manual for removing the upper control arm on 1987 Ram Raider vehicles may not allow for adequate removal
clearance on some subject vehicles. If necessary, use the following procedure to provide for additional clearance.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
Upper Control Arm Removal
If you cannot remove the upper control arm by following the service manual instructions, use the following alternate procedure..
FIGURE 1
1.
Remove the ground cable attaching bolt from inside the engine compartment, L.H. side only (Figure 1).
2.
Move the rear of the control arm toward the rear of the vehicle and pull out the front of the control arm (Figure 1).
