Throttle Position Sensor: Adjustments
1.
Loosen the tension of the accelerator cable.
Location Of TPS
2.
Disconnect the Throttle Position Sensor connector.
Checking Continuity Of Idle Position Switch
3.
Connect an ohmmeter between terminals # 1 and # 2, using lead wires with alligator clips.
Setting The FIxed SAS
4.
Insert a 0.65 mm (0.0256 in.) feeler gauge between the Fixed SAS and the throttle lever.
Adjustment Of The TPS
5.
Loosen the TPS installation screw, then turn the TPS clockwise completely.
Continuity should exist at this time.
6.
Slowly turn the TPS in a counterclockwise direction until continuity is broken.
