Engine Mount: Service and Repair
Before removing engine mounts on 1982 - 83 models, driveshaft length should be measured to ensure correct engine and driveshaft positioning
during installation. When positioning the engine on 1984 models, check driveshaft length as outlined in the ``Front Suspension & Steering
Section'' under ``Driveshaft Length, Adjust.'' On all models, the engine mounts incorporate slotted bolt holes and permit side-to-side
positioning of the engine, thereby affecting the length of the driveshaft. Failure to properly position the engine may result in extensive damage
to the engine.

On 1982 - 83 vehicles, the left engine mount is attached with two types of mounting screws. Two of the three are of the pilot type with extended tips.
Extended tip screws must be installed in proper position,
