SYMPTOM/CONDITION
Subject model vehicles built before February 21, 1983 (MDH 02-21-XX) may exhibit the following two driveability conditions:
1.
An acceleration sag following a short closed throttle deceleration.
2.
Rough engine idle immediately following a hot soak restart.
NOTE:
This service procedure only applies to vehicles with ESA/EFC module part numbers 5213834 and 5213838.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
1.
Remove original ESA/EFC module and install appropriate replacement ESA/EFC selected from parts chart above.
2.
Start engine and allow to fully warm up.
3.
Check and reset basic timing if necessary to VECI label specifications.
