PARTS REQUIRED

Three different kits are required with the various fuel gauges and fuel tanks used from 1983 through 1985.

Order one of the respective kit part numbers outlined below:

1983 K-PD (bi-metallic fuel gauge, includes fuel

PN 4342916 

tank assembly)

1983 K-CV, E-ET, 1984 K-PD (magnetic fuel gauge,

PN 4342917 

includes fuel tank assembly)

1985 K-PD (magnetic fuel gauge, use existing fuel tank)

PN 4342942

Refer to parts lists for contents of each package.

NOTE:
IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE SPECIFIED MODEL YEAR APPLICATION KIT BE SELECTED. THE USE OF AN IMPROPER PART NUMBER
KIT MAY CAUSE THE CAR TO RUN OUT OF FUEL WELL BEFORE THE GAUGE READS EMPTY.

Repair Procedure

To install electric fuel pump, regulator, and fuel reservoir.

Engine Compartment Wiring Harness PN 4304992

1.

Disconnect the battery.

Manual Transmission Vehicles - remove clutch cable bracket at left shock tower.

Automatic Transmission Vehicles - remove shift cable bracket (if so equipped) located at the left shock tower.

2.

Remove engine side of bulkhead connector. Depress fingers of instrument panel half of bulkhead connector and push connector back through
hole into passenger compartment.
