Secure fuel hoses with 5/16" (silver) and 1/4" (black) clamps provided. Torque clamps to 10 inch pounds (Figure 4).
NOTE:
IF VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WITH A FUEL RESERVOIR, OR A FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR (LATE 1987
MODELS), IT MUST BE REMOVED AND REPLACED WITH FUEL RESERVOIR/FILTER, PN 4306286, SUPPLIED.

Underbody Component Installation

Remove the parking brake cable from the bracket and push it to the side to allow clearance for the following operations:

Disconnect the fuel gauge wire, fuel supply and fuel return hoses from the fuel tank gauge unit. Drain the fuel tank and remove the tank
from the vehicle following the procedure given in the service manual.
