Differential Pressure Switch: Service and Repair
Differential Pressure Switch

1.

De-pressurize the system as outlined in "De-Pressurizing Hydraulic Accumulator" under "Precautions."

2.

Disconnect hydraulic assembly wiring harness connector from the primary pressure transducer.

3.

Disconnect differential pressure switch wiring harness connector from hydraulic assembly wiring harness. Do not attempt to disconnect the
harness connector from the differential pressure switch.

4.

Raise and support vehicle.

5.

Remove differential pressure switch using socket tool No. 6684 or equivalent.

6.

Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Torque differential pressure switch to 13 inch lbs.
b. Turn ignition switch to the On position to pressurize the system and check for leaks.
c. De-pressurize the system check fluid level, then repressurize the system to purge any air out of the hydraulic assembly. Refer to procedure

found in "De-Pressurizing Hydraulic Accumulator" under "Precautions" to properly de-pressurize the system.

d. Road test the vehicle to ensure system is operating normally.
