Sprinter 2500 V6-3.0L DSL Turbo (2008)
6. Remove the nut that secures the A/C liquid line (5) to the A/C condenser.
7. Disconnect the A/C liquid line from the A/C condenser and remove and discard the O-ring seal.
8. Raise and support the vehicle.
9. Depending on engine application, remove the heat shield from the left frame rail to gain access to the front section of the A/C liquid line.
10. Remove the two nuts that secure the front section of the A/C liquid line to the studs (6) located on the left frame rail.
11. If equipped with rear A/C, reposition the A/C underbody lines for access See: Interior Line/Rear Plumbing - Front Interior Lines See: Interior
Line/Rear Plumbing - Rear Interior Suction Line See: Interior Line/Rear Plumbing - Rear Interior Discharge Line See: Interior Line/Rear
Plumbing - Interior Liquid Line See: Underbody Line.
12. Remove the bolt that secures the front section of the A/C liquid line to the middle section of the A/C liquid line.
13. Disconnect the front section of the A/C liquid line from the middle section of the liquid line and remove and discard the O-ring seal.
14. Lower the vehicle.
15. Remove the front section of the A/C liquid line from the engine compartment.
16. Install plugs in, or tape over the opened refrigerant line fittings and condenser ports.
MIDDLE SECTION
17. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
18. Remove the air cleaner housing from the engine compartment See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Tune-up and Engine Performance
Checks/Air Cleaner Housing/Service and Repair.
19. Recover the refrigerant from the refrigerant system See: Service and Repair/Refrigerant System Recovery.
20. Raise and support the vehicle.
21. Depending on engine application, remove the heat shield from the left frame rail to gain access to the front section of the A/C liquid line.
22. Remove the two nuts that secure the front section of the A/C liquid line to the studs (6) located on the left frame rail.
23. If equipped with rear A/C, reposition the A/C underbody lines for access See: Interior Line/Rear Plumbing - Front Interior Lines See: Interior
Line/Rear Plumbing - Rear Interior Suction Line See: Interior Line/Rear Plumbing - Rear Interior Discharge Line See: Interior Line/Rear
Plumbing - Interior Liquid Line See: Underbody Line.
24. Remove the bolt that secures the front section of the A/C liquid line to the middle section of the A/C liquid line.
25. Disconnect the front section of the A/C liquid line from the middle section of the liquid line and remove and discard the O-ring seal.
26. Remove the bolt that secures the middle section of the A/C liquid line to the rear section of the A/C liquid line (3).
27. Disconnect the middle section of the A/C liquid line from the rear section of the liquid line and remove and discard the O-ring seal.
28. Remove the middle section of the A/C liquid line from the engine compartment.
29. Install plugs in, or tape over the opened refrigerant line fittings.
REAR SECTION
NOTE: The rear section of the A/C liquid line and A/C suction line are serviced as an assembly.
30. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
31. Remove the air cleaner housing from the engine compartment See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Tune-up and Engine Performance
Checks/Air Cleaner Housing/Service and Repair.
32. Recover the refrigerant from the refrigerant system See: Service and Repair/Refrigerant System Recovery.
