Sprinter 2500 V6-3.0L DSL Turbo VIN 45 (2007)
1. Remove the tape or plugs from the opened refrigerant line fittings and receiver/drier ports.
2. Lubricate new O-ring seals with clean refrigerant oil and install them onto the refrigerant line fittings. Use only the specified O-ring seals as they
are made of a special material for the R-134a system. Use only refrigerant oil of the type recommended for the A/C compressor in the vehicle.
3. Connect the rear A/C receiver/drier (3) to the rear condenser outlet line (1) and the rear A/C liquid line (7) and loosely install the retaining bolts.
4. Position the rear A/C receiver/drier to the rear A/C condenser (4) and install the two retaining screws (5). Tighten the screws securely.
5. Tighten the bolts that secure the rear A/C liquid line and the rear condenser outlet line to the rear A/C receive/drier to 6 Nm (53 in. lbs.).
6. If removed, install the rear A/C pressure transducer (2). Tighten the rear A/C pressure transducer to 10 Nm (88 in. lbs.).
7. Connect the wire harness connector (6) to the rear A/C pressure transducer.
8. Install the rear condenser cover to the top of the vehicle and install the retaining screws. Tighten the screws to 2 Nm (17 in. lbs.).
9. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
10. Evacuate the rear refrigerant system.
11. If the rear A/C receiver/drier is being replaced, add 30 milliliters (1 fluid ounce) of refrigerant oil to the refrigerant system. When replacing
multiple A/C system components, refer to the Refrigerant Oil Capacities chart to determine how much oil should be added to the refrigerant
system. Use only refrigerant oil of the type recommended for the A/C compressor in the vehicle.
12. Charge the rear refrigerant system.
