Leaf Spring Shackle
Removal
REMOVAL
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Support the rear axle (11).
3. Remove both the rear spring shackles nut (5) and bolts (6) from the spring bracket.
4. Lower the rear axle and remove the rear spring shackle (8) from the spring (2).
Installation
INSTALLATION
1. Install the spring shackle (8) to the spring (2). Tighten the nuts (5) and bolts (6) See torque specification chart.
2. Raise the rear axle (10) while installing the spring shackle (8) to the spring bracket. Tighten the nuts (5) and bolts (6) to 90 Nm (66 ft. lbs.) (SRW)
or 185 Nm (136 ft. lbs.) (DRW).
3. Lower the vehicle.
