IMPORTANT:
Some of the involved vehicles may be in dealer vehicle inventory. Dealers should complete this service procedure on these vehicles before retail
delivery. Involved vehicles can be determined by using the VIP inquiry process.
Subject
The Owner's Manual in about 4,800 of the above vehicles may be missing the
Gross Combined Weight Rating (GCWR) and certain long wheel base and optional equipment information. Combining the quoted Gross Vehicle Weight
Rating and the Gross Trailer Weight to the maximum will exceed the permissible GCWR. Exceeding the GCWR can cause damage to the drive train, the
transmission, or the trailer hitch.
Repair
All owners known to Chrysler will have an Owner's Manual addendum letter
mailed to them.
For vehicles in your dealer's new and used vehicle inventory, a copy of the Owner's Manual addendum letter must be placed in the vehicle's Owner's
Manual or glove box.
Parts Information
No parts are required to perform this service procedure.
Completion Reporting and Reimbursement
Claims for vehicles that have been serviced must be submitted on the
DealerCONNECT Claim Entry Screen located on the Service tab. Claims
submitted will be used by Chrysler to record Customer Satisfaction Notification service completions and provide dealer payments.
