Power Steering Line/Hose: Service and Repair
Hose - Pressure

REMOVAL - POWER STEERING PRESSURE HOSE 

NOTE:  Before proceeding with this procedure, Refer to Service Precautions.

1. Siphon as much fluid as possible from power steering fluid reservoir.

2. Remove clamp securing fluid return hose to pump reservoir (Fig. 20), then remove hose from reservoir fitting. Cap off hose end and reservoir

fitting.

3. Back out tube nut securing fluid pressure hose to power steering pump and remove hose from pump (Fig. 20). Cap off hose end and pump pressure

port.

4. Raise vehicle. 
5. Back out tube nut securing fluid pressure hose to power steering gear (Fig. 21). Cap off hose end and gear port.

6. Remove hose clamp securing return hose to power steering cooler tube (Fig. 21). Slide hose off end of tube. Cap off hose end and cooler tube.
