1. Remove main switch and garnish from console.
2. Remove switch from garnish.
3. Operate switch and check continuity across as shown.
4. Connect suitable jumper wires from battery positive to terminal 3 and battery negative to terminal 5. Battery voltage should be available between
terminals 4 and 5 when the switch is ON and drop to 0 volts when the switch is turned OFF.
SERVICE BULLETIN: Speed control will not remain ON when the main ON/OFF switch is depressed.
This condition may be caused by a poor connection at the main switch. The wiring harness is too short and pulls the wiring out of the back of the
speed control switch. Replacement of the main switch will not correct this condition. Use the following procedure to correct this condition.
1. Remove main switch and garnish.
2. Carefully pull on main speed control switch wiring harness to gain an additional 1/16-1/8 inch of wiring.
3. Install main speed control switch and garnish.
