NOTE:
THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO SOME VEHICLES BUILT BEFORE OCT. 19, 1994 (MDH 10-19-XX).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
LED on heated backlite switch and heated glass in rear view mirrors are inoperative (heated backlite does work and mirrors move mechanically). Fuse #
6 repeatedly blows.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This bulletin involves adding heat shrink tubing to the heated rear view mirror terminals.
1.
To remove glass from heated rear view mirror, push lock tab to outside of glass. It will require a fiber stick (trim stick) and a good deal of force.
2.
Once glass is loose from backing plate, remove one of the two heated glass terminals from the back of the glass.
3.
Place heat shrink tube over metal terminal on wire and heat with hot air gun to secure. Let cool.
