Coolant Reservoir: All Technical Service Bulletins
Cooling System - Overheating/Gurgling Noise

NUMBER: 07-004-02

GROUP: Cooling

DATE: Jun. 10, 2002

SUBJECT:
Coolant Gurgle Sound

OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves visually inspecting the coolant reservoir hose for proper routing.

MODELS:

2001 (ST) Sebring/Stratus Coupe

NOTE

THIS INFORMATION APPLIES TO VEHICLES BUILT PRIOR TO MAY 28, 2001 (MDH0528XX).

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

Some vehicles may exhibit an interior gurgling sound, overheating, and/or poor interior heating at idle due to low coolant level. The low coolant level
may be caused by incorrect coolant reservoir tank hose routing.

DIAGNOSIS:

Visually inspect the coolant tank's hose routing. An outline of the hose may be seen as a dark shadow by looking through the reservoir with a light. The
hose should reach to the bottom of the tank (Fig. 1). If the hose is caught at the top of the tank, perform the Repair Procedure.
