Headlamp: Service and Repair
Installation

INSTALLATION

NOTE: It will be necessary to remove the fender retaining screws along the inner edge of the hood opening. This will allow the fender to be
freely moved to allow for more clearance.

1. Maneuver headlamp unit into fender opening.
2. Install the three retaining nuts on the underside of the headlamp unit. Torque nuts to 10 N·m (85 in. lbs.).

CAUTION: Do not touch the glass of HID or halogen lamps with fingers or other possibly oily surface. Reduced lamp life will result.

3. Install the lamps, HID lamp/igniter, high beam, and park/turn signal.
4. Place the headlamp access cover into position and install the three nuts. Torque nuts to 4 Nm (35 in. lbs.).
5. Install the front fender extension splash shield on the respective side by and the fasteners.

4 - FRAME ASSEMBLY

6. Connect the battery negative cable.
7. Place battery access cover into place and install four bolts.
8. Close deck lid.
9. Verify vehicle and system operation.

10. Verify headlamp unit aim.
