1996 - 1998 (SR) Viper Coupe
1997 - 1998 (SR) Viper Roadster
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The Electronic Entry Module (EEM) software may cause the module to fail to respond. If the module has failed to respond, one or more of the following
symptoms may be experienced:
1.
Vehicle does not respond to transmitters operation.
2.
Security alarm LED on the dash is not flashing.
3.
Doors do not open when outside buttons are pressed.
4.
Vehicle theft alarm prevents the vehicle from starting.
5.
Electronic entry module does not communicate with the DRBIII.
6.
On 1998 MY vehicles the park/tail lamps randomly flash for 3 minutes, without a push of the transmitter buttons.
DIAGNOSIS:
Low battery voltage can also cause the above symptoms to be present. Check open circuit battery voltage to ensure that the battery is above 12.0 volts. If
the voltage is below 12.0 volts, correct the condition before proceeding. If any of the above symptoms are identified, perform the Repair Procedure.
