Rear Knuckle: Service and Repair
Removal

1. Remove the center cap from the rear wheel.

2. Remove the cotter pin, nut lock and spring washer from the axle yoke.

3. With the weight of the vehicle supported by the tires and the parking brake applied, loosen but do not remove the yoke to hub/bearing mounting nut.
4. Raise the vehicle on jackstands or centered on a frame contact type hoist. 
5. Remove the rear wheel and tire.
6. Remove the shock absorber from the vehicle.

NOTE:  Axle shaft removal is required to allow the use of the special tool required to remove the upper control arm ball joint from the steering
knuckle.

7. Remove the driveshaft from the side of the vehicle requiring removal of the knuckle.

8. Remove the nut and washer mounting the yoke to the hub/bearing.
